What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
- Your driver’s license
- The name, phone and fax numbers of any doctor that have previously treated you
- Copies of any pertinent medical records.
How much will the first visit to Dr. Wolpmann cost?
Your first visit and each subsequent 6 month recertification visit will cost $150.00
How often do I have to see Dr. Wolpmann?
We are required by the State of Florida to see patients twice per year. This will involve a short visit with Dr. Wolpmann and staff. If you do not come in for your pre-scheduled follow up appointment, your cannabis recommendation will not stay active.
What is a Certification Office Visit?
The Certification Office visit is $150.00 and must be repeated every 6 months according to state law. This will allow your medical cannabis card to remain active. We continually strive to offer the highest level of care at the lowest cost possible in the area.
Required by Florida law, your initial certification visit establishes you as a patient of our practice. This appointment involves multiple personnel within our medical team as well as your appointment Dr. Wolpmann. It includes a health history review, physical examination, qualification in the state’s medical marijuana registry, treatment consultation with Dr. Wolpmann, and a post appointment interview with our medical staff regarding further information on medicines the doctor has recommended.
What Form of Payment Do You Accept?
For all visits, we accept cash and most credit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as debit card payments.

Do I get my Medical Marijuana recommendation at my first visit?
Yes, if you meet the qualifying conditions and Dr. Wolpmann feels that you will benefit from Medical Marijuana.
Where do I get my Medical Marijuana ID Card?
Your ID Card will be issued by the Florida Department of Health. We will be happy to help you fill out the paperwork required.
How long is my Medical Marijuana Card good for?
Your Medical Marijuana Card is good for one year. You will be required to submit a renewal application to the Registry, along with the fee prior to the expiration of your card.

What is the Difference Between CBD and THC?
THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana. It can be consumed by smoking marijuana. It’s also available in oils, edibles, tinctures, capsules, and more.
Both compounds interact with your body’s endocannabinoid system but they have very different effects.
Despite their similar chemical structures, CBD and THC don’t have the same psychoactive effects. In fact, CBD is a nonpsychoactive compound. That means it doesn’t produce the “high” associated with THC.
THC binds with the cannabinoid 1 (CB1) receptors in the brain. It produces a high or sense of euphoria.
CBD binds very weakly, if at all, to CB1 receptors. In fact, it can interfere with the binding of THC and dampen the psychoactive effects.
CBD and THC have many of the same medical benefits. They can provide relief from several of the same conditions. However, CBD doesn’t cause the euphoric effects that occur with THC. Some people may prefer to use CBD because of the lack of this side effect.

*Both CBD and THC are illegal federally. However, some states have laws that make them legal for medical or recreational purposes, or both.
**CBD isn’t always detected but hemp products may contain trace amounts of THC. They may show up in high enough concentrations to produce a positive drug test.
Will Medical Marijuana Make Me Feel "High?"
Marijuana contains natural compounds, two of which are CBD and THC used in Medical Marijuana.
CBD is found primarily in extractions from the hemp plant. It’s sold in gels, gummies, oils, supplements, extracts, and more.
THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana. It can be consumed by smoking marijuana. It’s also available in oils, edibles, tinctures, capsules, and more.
CBD and THC don’t have the same psychoactive effects. In fact, CBD is a nonpsychoactive compound. That means it doesn’t produce the “high” associated with THC.
CBD and THC can be purchased in blends that contain more CBD (no high) or more THC (more psychoactive effects). We recommend that you start low (dose) and go slow for all products purchased.

Can I Buy a Gun if I'm Taking Medical Marijuana?
The short answer is “NO.” Federal law prohibits any “unlawful user” of a controlled substance to purchase a firearm.
But Medical Marijuana is legal in Florida, why can’t I buy a gun?
Although Medical Marijuana may be legal in Florida, and several other states, the use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under federal law, regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside. Therefore, any user of Medical Marijuana would be classified as an “unlawful user of a controlled substance,” as far as the Federal Government is concerned, and thereby prohibited from purchasing a firearm.
